How Trackium Works
System Architecture
Trackium operates on a three-layer architecture: Device Layer, Node Layer, and Blockchain Layer. Each layer plays a critical role in ensuring security, decentralization, and data ownership.
Device Layer
The physical Trackium device captures GPS coordinates, movement data, and environmental sensors. It communicates via LTE Cat-M1/NB-IoT and processes data locally before transmitting to your personal Minima node.
Minima Node Layer
Your Minima node (mobile or desktop) receives encrypted data from the device. It processes movement proofs, manages encryption keys, and prepares blockchain transactions. All data stays on YOUR device - no central servers.
Blockchain Layer
Proof-of-Movement transactions are submitted to Minima blockchain every 5 minutes (customizable). Each proof is cryptographically signed, timestamped, and immutable. Anyone can verify the authenticity of your tracking data.
Device Layer
The Trackium device is built on Raspberry Pi Zero 2W with modular components for different environments.

Node Layer
it processes, encrypts, and controls your tracking data.

DATA PROCESSING
Device data is received encrypted and processed entirely on your node. Movement proofs are generated using cryptographic hashing. You control what data is stored.

MOBILE & DESKTOP NODES
Run your Minima node on Android, Windows, Mac, or Linux. The node syncs across devices, so you can check your tracking data anywhere. Full functionality even on mobile devices.

REAL-TIME PROCESSING
Location updates appear in your dashboard within seconds. Alerts are triggered instantly when movement is detected. No cloud delays - everything happens on your device.
Blockchain Layer
Proof-of-Movement
Every 5 minutes (customizable or on-demand), your node creates a cryptographic proof containing GPS coordinates, timestamp, and device signature. This proof is submitted to Minima blockchain as a transaction.
Transaction Structure
Each proof contains: Device ID (hashed), GPS coordinates (encrypted), timestamp, cryptographic signature, and optional metadata. Proofs are batched to minimize blockchain fees.
Verification
Anyone can verify your tracking proofs using the blockchain explorer. Proofs are tamper-proof and cannot be altered retroactively. Perfect for insurance claims, customs documentation, and legal evidence.
